When we compare human and animal desire we find many extraordinary differences.

인간과 동물의 욕망을 비교할 때 우리는 많은 특별한 차이점을 발견한다.

Animals tend to eat with their stomachs, and humans with their brains.

동물은 위장으로, 사람은 뇌로 먹는 경향이 있다.

When animals’ stomachs are full, they stop eating, but humans are never sure when to stop.

동물은 배가 부르면 먹는 것을 멈추지만, 인간은 언제 멈춰야 할지 결코 확신하지 못한다.

When they have eaten as much as their bellies can take, they still feel empty, they still feel an urge for further gratification.

인간은 배에 담을 수 있는 만큼 먹었을 때, 그들은 여전히 허전함을 느끼고 추가적인 만족감에 대한 충동을 느낀다.
